Why the Facebook Pixel Is Essential for Funnelish Users
If you're running Facebook or Instagram ads to your Funnelish funnel, the Facebook Pixel is non-negotiable. Without it, Facebook has no way of knowing who purchased from your funnel — which means your ads can't optimize for purchases, you can't build lookalike audiences from buyers, and you can't retarget visitors who didn't convert.
The Facebook Pixel is a small piece of JavaScript code that tracks visitor actions on your funnel pages — page views, checkout initiations, and purchases — and sends that data back to Facebook's ad system.
Understanding the Two-Level App Setup in Funnelish
Before installing the Facebook Pixel, it's important to understand how Funnelish Apps work. There are two levels:
Global (Account-wide) — Enable the app once for your entire Funnelish account. Found in the top right header → Apps.
Funnel-level — Activate and configure the app inside each individual funnel where you want it to run.
Both steps are required. Enabling the pixel globally but not at the funnel level means the pixel won't fire on your funnel pages.
Step 1 — Get Your Facebook Pixel ID
Log into your Facebook Business Manager. Go to Events Manager → Pixels. If you don't have a pixel yet, click Add → Facebook Pixel to create one. Copy your Pixel ID — it's a 15-16 digit number.
Step 2 — Enable Facebook Pixel Globally in Funnelish
Log into Funnelish. Click the Apps icon in the top right header. Find Facebook Pixel in the apps list and toggle it on. Enter your Pixel ID and click Save. This enables the pixel for your account.
Step 3 — Enable Facebook Pixel Inside Your Funnel
Open the specific funnel where you want the pixel to fire. Go to the Apps tab inside the funnel. Find Facebook Pixel and toggle it on. Confirm your Pixel ID is correct and save.
Step 4 — Verify the Pixel Is Firing
Install the Facebook Pixel Helper Chrome extension. Visit each page of your funnel and check that the pixel helper shows the correct events firing:
Landing/advertorial page → PageView event
Product page → ViewContent event
Checkout page → InitiateCheckout event
Thank you page → Purchase event (most important)
Setting Up the Purchase Event Correctly
The Purchase event on your thank you page is the most critical pixel event. It tells Facebook that a conversion occurred and passes the order value. Make sure the Purchase event includes the correct value and currency parameters — this is what Facebook uses to calculate your ROAS and optimize your campaigns for revenue.
Using Multiple Pixels
If you're running ads from multiple Facebook ad accounts, you may need to fire multiple pixels on the same funnel. Funnelish supports multiple pixel IDs — check your funnel's pixel settings to see if multiple pixel inputs are available.
Maximize Your Pixel Data With a High-Converting Funnel
Your pixel learns faster and optimizes better when it receives more purchase events. The more conversions your funnel generates, the smarter your Facebook campaigns become. Browse our Funnelish funnel templates for conversion-optimized designs that help your pixel exit the learning phase faster.
